Bishop Avery D. Kinney, Sr.
Bishop Avery D. Kinney, Sr. is a native of Washington, DC and is a sought after speaker, conference presenter and a two time Blacks in Government workshop presenter. As a speaker, Bishop Kinney has shared messages in churches, town halls, convention centers, hotels, corporate venues, schools and correctional facilities.
Bishop Kinney is an Author, Leadership Consultant, Intinerant Speaker, Human Resources Consultant known as "TheHRman" and a Prophetic Counselor to ministries and businesses across the country. Based in Richmond, VA, he currently operates as a Pastor-At-Large, where a majority of his ministry responsibilities is centered on covering pulpits and ministries while pastors are on travel, serving as interim pastor or the "substitute pastor" as well as strong influence over Ministry Teams and the development of leadership at various churches across the United States of America.
In 2000 he founded The Leadership Boot Camp which is an entity of The Activation Center that is committed to providing a conglomerate of resources for successful leadership in various arena's. Bishop Kinney has mentored countless young men and women pursuing spiritual, ministerial, relational and professional excellence.
Bishop Kinney travels as a speaker, clinician, and consultant. His transparency, humor and seasoned prophetic mantle on his life are benchmarks of his bold and highly potent ministry style. He is the husband of Pastor Iris Kinney and the father of Avery Jr. and Jayla LaWren. He is the grandfather of Madison and spiritual father and fathering prophet to those who God has handpicked for him to pour into their lives.
In the early years of Bishop Kinney's ministry was met with resistance from those who were tied to tradition where prophetic voices were not welcomed, Bishop Kinney not swayed. He continued to focus on what God instructed him to do in the way He wanted it done in this new era. In his years of being groomed for greatness Bishop Avery Kinney travelled to an extensive number of revivals and conferences and became a notable presence sharing his gift on platforms with many household names in ministry. His gift doesn’t stop at preaching and prophesying, but is underscored by his strong gift of administration.
